October 19, 2009 - I am currently working on an issue with KLM Airlines in Kuwait. I purchased a ticket on their website for 231 KWD only to have 241 KWD taken out of my KNET account.

The reason I am being told is that KLM quotes in KWD but then has the transaction done through Sweden which sends it to my bank (Commercial Bank of Kuwait) in US dollars and it is converted back to Kuwaiti Dinar. The end result is that I ended up having 241 KWD taken out of my account and still my receipt from KLM shows 231 KWD, exactly what I was quoted.

I have been trying to resolve this for over a month and still all I get is "it's the bank's fault".

Quoting one price and, because of how they choose to do business, actually costing me more, is simply not bombastic.

December 1, 2009 -- Finally after almost two months the KLM Kuwait office has agreed to return the money due me. The fact that it took this long and countless calls and e-mails to get it resolved is simply not acceptable in today's business world.

On a positive note, Rachel the agent that I dealt with was always professional and always did what she said she would do. Its the management and the accounting departments that failed miserably.
