Cathay Pacific Arrival Lounge - Hong Kong

Simply just too small

Cathay Pacific Arrival Lounge – Hong Kong: Situated at the center passage connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the Hong Kong International Airport, the Cathay Lounge in Hong Kong is pretty much the same as many of the Cathay lounges I’ve been to. That is to say, it’s a bit small for the number of people using it. After a long and exhausting flight though, any lounge to freshen up is better than none.

We arrived on an early flight from LAX and I was surprised that the lounge was already packed with people. Looking to freshen up as soon as possible, we found ourselves waiting more than 30 minutes for a shower to open up. There were the usual lounge perks installed, like a flat screen TV, computer terminals, a shelf of reading materials and a refreshment bar, however the lounge did not live up to first-class standards.

Overall, we rate the Cathay Lounge in Hong Kong as Almost Bombastic. It was a welcome respite after a long trip, but the accommodations didn’t do much to impress us.

Rating: Almost Bombastic.
