Gulf Air Lounge at Dubai International Airport - Dubai, UAE: The Gulf Air Lounge at Dubai International Airport is located next to gate 122. Supervised by a ground hostess, this lounge is available to both Gulf Air Silver card and Gold card Frequent Flyers regardless of cabin from 06:00 am to 03:00 am. The recently remodeled 265 square meter lounge features the signature Gulf Air Lounge design. More than 60 small, blue chairs are available for customers to relax in before their flight. The hardwood floored lounge sports a couple of tents which lends a nice Arabian touch. The lounge design also allows lots of natural light inside.

The Gulf Air Lounge is equipped with large screen TV’s, computer ports and adapters. The business center is well-appointed with telephone and fax facilities and workstations with complimentary internet access. The newsstand offers international and regional newspapers and magazines. The washrooms with shower cubicles are well-stocked with Temple Spa toiletries.

The Gulf Air Lounge offers a selection of individual appetizers and cold cuts, pastries, a hot dish of the day as well as coffee and tea in a separate area of the lounge. The fridge is stocked with bottled water and soft drinks. A buffet is available. When I was there, the buffet consisted of steamed rice, beef stew, chicken biryani, sandwiches and fresh fruit. However, most of the food did not look appealing to the eye. Full bar service is also available. Some of the drinks available at the bar are Bacardi, Jack Daniels and Red Label.

Overall, the Gulf Air Lounge was comfortable, but not anything special or plush enough to give it a Bombastic rating.

Rating:Between Bombastic and Not
