While the food is good, it definitely is not worth the large price tag. If service and atmosphere were at a five-star level, then maybe it would be worth the highly inflated price, but sadly, they are not.

To give you an idea of the service you can expect, we finished our bottle of water and then waited over twenty minutes for the waiter to ask if we wanted another one or to even check and see how we were doing. Finally, we flagged down the manager and asked if we could have another bottle. We told her we were disappointed that the service was so poor and she stated we do not like to ask if you need anything, we do not want you to feel like you have to buy something.

This is the first time I have ever heard of anything so ridiculous. Instead of providing good service, especially when you are paying top, top, top dollar for it, they would rather leave you high and dry. It appeared that they staffed so they could take your order and then deliver your courses and run. By no means was the service anywhere close to what you normally find in a fine dining or five-star restaurant. What a huge disappointment.

The impression I got was that Comme chez Soi is a place you go to, just so you can say you have been there. It is not a place you go for a truly enjoyable experience.

If you do decide to try Comme chez Soi, make reservations in advance and prepare for a less than bombastic experience.
