5 Star Service and Luxury in Brussels

Hotel Amigo - Brussels, Belgium: Located just blocks from the Grand-Place sits the impressive Hotel Amigo. This luxury hotel is part of the Rocco Forte Collection of hotels and offers the style, class and service you have come to expect from their hotels or any five-star hotel in Europe.

First Impression/Lobby: Pulling up to the Hotel Amigo and being greeted by the sharply dressed doormen and bellmen you instantly know you are at a classy, stylish hotel. As you walk into the trendy, yet classy lobby, you know your room will be just as inviting. Hotel Amigo is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and it definitely lives up to that description.

Reception: With a warm welcome, an imprint of a credit card and a signature we were checked it. Perfect fast and simple but most importantly, they made us feel welcome. And if that was not enough, the General Manager greeted us in the lobby and welcomed us to the hotel. We asked if he normally did that and they said that he tries to greet a few people everyday. It was his way of getting to know the guests and learn how to make the hotel even better. What a bombastic start to our stay at Hotel Amigo!

The Suite: The first suite we were given was on the top floor, which as nice as that sounds, actually made it feel claustrophobic due to its angled roof and poor window locations. We requested a room change and within ten short minutes, they escorted us to another suite for our inspection and approval before transferring us. Our approval process took less than thirty seconds. The room was beautiful.

The suite did not have much of a view outside but the comfort and style inside more than made up for that. With a large seating area complete with a full-sized couch, two side chairs and a small work desk, the suite was spacious enough for dining in or just relaxing after a long day of sightseeing

The large marble bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub and my favorite, a heated tile floor. The attention to detail was amazing.

Room Service: After our initial struggle with a language barrier, Room Service was top-notch. Great selection of items, good prices and on-time delivery, what more could you want?

Housekeeping: Housekeeping was consistent and thorough. Whether it was the daily service or the evening turndown service, it was completed to true five-star standards. A request for an additional bottle of water was met with a smile and a still or sparkling! Best yet, we only had to ask once. Each night the chambermaid left us an extra bottle of water. It is the little things that take a hotel visit from average or good, to bombastic.

Restaurant: Ristorante 'Bocconi' the hotel's Italian Restaurant lacks in service but makes up for it in taste. Read the full review.

Concierge: The Concierge staff at Hotel Amigo is professional, knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. Whether it was making restaurant reservations or planning a tour, the concierges were beyond helpful and were full of great ideas. They were a pleasure to work with and at all times kept our comfort and enjoyment at the forefront of their suggestions.

Overall Impression As a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and part of the Rocco Forte Collection of hotels you could not be in better hands than when you are at Hotel Amigo.

5 star service and class along with luxury and style are what make the Hotel Amigo such a wonderful and bombastic hotel to stay at. If you are headed to Brussels, be sure to experience Hotel Amigo.
