Mercure - Cite des Papes - Avignon, France - Location, location, location. This 3-Star hotel offers tremendous convenience in its central location in Avignon. The rooms are small and clean but are just steps away from the center of town and the Palace of the Popes. The Mercure Cite des Papes Hotel is an excellent option when the few 4-Star hotels in Avignon are booked (as happened to us.) The personnel are extremely helpful and do everything they can to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
