Einstein Café – Berlin, Germany: One of the most hyped cafes in Berlin that became popular as well with tourists is the Einstein Café. This café in Germany is one of the coffee house chains that have a classic European vibe for coffee and pastry lovers.

Einstein Café looked very elegant with waiters in uniform, high ceiling, peach tinted walls, and dark wooden tables and chairs to complete its Viennese inspired interior.

We were at the Einstein Café for a quick breakfast but we were disappointed with the limited choices of breakfast meals from their menu. They also didn’t have many varieties for their sandwiches which was surprising for a well known café in Germany.

Nonetheless, the café in Germany has a lot of pastries to choose from. We ordered their Apfelstrudel, a house specialty apple filled pastry served with vanilla sauce. This pastry tasted just average especially for its costly price.

Einstein Café also made their own blended coffee and latte but I’ve had far better coffee from other less expensive cafes than the one I had in Einstein Café. Just like anything else from their menu, the coffee and latter were overpriced for its quality.

Since Einstein Café is a popular cafe, the place could get busy as early as breakfast time. So there were times when our waiter wasn’t able to attend well to our needs. Despite the waiters all dressed up in crisp uniform, the service at this café in Germany was just average and nothing impressive.

Although Einstein Café is generally loved by both locals and tourists, I didn’t really enjoy the place. I thought everything was overpriced and it wasn’t worth it at all. I know there are far better cafes in Berlin to try that aren’t as costly as Einstein Café.

What I liked: European style café, many pastries to choose from

What I didn’t like: everything was overpriced, limited breakfast menu

Rating: Almost Bombastic
