Oli Italian Restaurant – Tokyo, Japan After immersing myself in all things Japanese during my Tokyo trip - from the culture to the food - I found myself hankering for some comfort food, which in my case means pasta! So I headed on over to Oli, which is located in the Cerulean Tower Hotel.

Considered one of the finest Italian restaurants in Tokyo, I found the atmosphere of Oli to be bright and upscale. Not the stiff kind of upscale though, as the restaurant was very comfortable.

It had an open kitchen in the middle, with many mood lights on the ceiling. Wood paneling on the walls combined with modern chairs and tables made for a sleek and contemporary ambience.

Service was attentive and professional, which was pretty standard throughout Tokyo.

The menu had a good selection of Italian fare, and after I went through it, opted to start with a fresh salad – which was very nice and very fresh.

I then had a shrimp pasta with a creamy red sauce. It was decent, though not close to what I’ve had in Italy. Of course, for an Italian restaurant in the heart of Tokyo, it wasn’t too bad.

Overall, I had a nice experience and if given the chance, I would come back for more. I rate Oli, Almost Bombastic!
