Seasons Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel - Istanbul, Turkey - Located in the Four Seasons Hotel at Sultanahmet in the Old City section of Istanbul, is Seasons Restaurant, one of the best restaurants I had the pleasure of dining at while in Istanbul.

Seasons is a small restaurant with both seating indoors in the glass enclosed courtyard as well as outside in the beautifully manicured garden patio surrounded by the majestic Four Seasons Hotel.

My initial impression of Seasons was that the evening would be average at best. However, once we settled in and our evening started, I began to second-guess my initial impression. The staff was prompt and professional and surely made us feel welcomed. I started to believe I was at a true five-star restaurant.

Dinner started with a great Turkish Mezzah Selection followed by a beautiful Potato and Leek Soup. The second course served up the best risotto (Porcini Mushroom Risotto with Pan-Seared Sea Scallops and Shrimp) I have had in a long time. I did not think dinner could get any better and then the main course, a Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin was delivered to my table. It was tender, juicy and so full of flavor it surpassed my wildest expectations.

Through each course during dinner, service was prompt and professional, friendly and caring. They were there to make sure we had a perfect night and they succeeded. It was easy to see why Seasons was awarded 'the best hotel restaurant in Turkey'.

When you are in Istanbul, if you want a great dinner, Seasons is a must. With seating for 55 indoors and 95 outside it is important to make reservations.
