First Impression/Lobby: The lobby area of St. Regis in Singapore was gorgeous and sprawling, defining every aspect of luxury. We were greeted by the bell-man who escorted us along with our luggage to the reception. Done in warm cream and soft-gold tones, the lobby was brightened up by imposing and impressive art, curios and bright colors to bring in a rich contrast to the soft color chosen for the rest. The receptionists were positioned at the side of the lobby on stately wooden desks and straight-backed comfortable chairs.

Reception: The registration at St. Regis in Singapore took no time at all to complete. The attentiveness and warmth of the service made us feel welcomed into the hotel right away and we couldn’t wait for the rest.

The Suite: We were escorted to our Executive Deluxe Suite by the receptionist and soon a butler appeared to explain the room and its amenities and all the hotel facilities to us. The suite at St. Regis in Singapore had a bedroom and a living room. Both rooms were fitted with a floor-to ceiling window which offered splendid views of the residential condos and Oriental garden below us. The rooms were well decorated with colors chosen from a soft palette, beautiful chandeliers clinging to the ceilings, comfortable plush sofas and chairs done in soft-beige off-set by bright cushions, low divans to lounge in, pretty standing and table lamps bringing in soft-lights and colors, writing tables in sleek wood and a king-sized comfortable and ‘made to sink-into’ bed. There was ample space in the closet area for luggage and clothes. The lights curtains can all be controlled remotely from the night-stand near your bed and by a remote-control in the living room. The room had Wi-Fi internet access.

The bathroom of St. Regis in Singapore had two sinks with a comfortable and modern bathtub right in the middle. There was a huge shower stand with jet massage and the bathroom was fitted with all amenities, gleaming counters and pretty light holds. Marbled completely with French marble and elegant in design, it also offered a TV. The toilet was in a separate room which also allowed for it to be used as a guest bathroom.

Room Service: The option for room service offered a lot of choices for food. You could also order from the menus of one of the restaurants at St. Regis in Singapore to be delivered to your room. Open to special customer request, the service was professional and efficient with exceptional presentation skills.

Housekeeping: The housekeeping at St. Regis in Singapore was extremely poor and we had problems with them every single day. Inattentive and lacking in upkeep, it docked points in the favor of the hotel.

Concierge: The concierge at St. Regis in Singapore was very helpful and knowledgeable. But I wasn’t too happy with some of the suggestions and recommendation.

Restaurant: There were various dining options at the St. Regis in Singapore. The Yan Ting offered Cantonese cuisine created by chef Shao, LeBrezza offered good Italian cuisine, Brasserie Les Saveurs offered a menu inspired by French and Asian cuisine, the Decanter was for all the wine connoisseurs, the Drawing Room offered light-fares like scones, finger sandwiches, pastries, tea and more and the Astor Bar offers a wide selection of drinks and light-eats.

Pool/Spa/Activities: Located on the second floor near the LaBrezza Restarant, the pool was a great place to lounge in and take-in the sun. St. Regis in Singapore also housed the Remede Spa offering great treatment and massages, an indoor tennis court, a large state-of–the-art fitness center, a business center and a fleet of customized Bentleys with your own private chauffeur to take you and bring you to the airport and in and around the city.

Check-Out: The check-out at St. Regis in Singapore was quick and efficient and had us on our way with no delay at all.

Overall Impression: This was the first time we had stayed at the St. Regis in Singapore and it definitely won’t be our last. The hotel spelt pure luxury, five-star service and great accommodation. We rate it Bombastic.
