Cerveseria Catalana - Barcelona, Spain - Located in the heart of Barcelona, Spain, just off of Rambla de Catalunya, Cerveseria Catalana is not your typical tapas restaurant.
Not being a big fan of tapas, I was a bit reluctant to go to Cerveseria Catalana. However, we were told this was the best place for tapas in Barcelona and it wasn't touristy (a big bonus for me) so we set off to give it a try.
Had I known tapas could be this good, I would have changed my mind about them a long time ago. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is casual but classy and the menu, WOW, what a huge selection of tapas! Cuttlefish, shrimp, tuna, salmon, veal, calamari, warm goat cheese, artichokes, bombastic oysters, mussels plus a good selection of beer and wine.
This is the place to go with friend; have a few drinks, order a variety of tapas and then just sit back and relax. Cerveseria Catalana is not touristy, just great food, great drinks, and great service. Simply put, bombastic!
