Blue Water Grill’s exterior boasts a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture with its interior boasting high ceilings and a lot of windows which offer great views and a lot of natural light. The interior of Blue Water Grill is comfortable but predictable. Outside, a spectacular deck with a view of the lake greets guests with its own bar – and from what I’ve hear, when the weather is nice, it is near impossible to find seats here.

We went to Blue Water Grill with friends and though the service was decent, it was not five-star quality, but much more casual and laid back. The menu selection had a fair amount of choices though nothing extraordinary, with specialty plates like Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, and Root Beer Rotisserie Chicken. There were also pasta dishes, pizzas and artisan sandwiches among others continental dishes.

Quality of food was average tasting and nothing to write home about. Despite the exotic dish names and presentation, the taste was reminiscent to chain restaurant fare.

Overall, though the place had a spectacular deck and the interiors were comfortable enough, with decent service and not-so-great food, we rate the Blue Water Grill between Bombastic and Not.

What I liked: Spectacular view, spacious interior, decent food selection

What I didn’t like: Just average service, typical chain-like food
