Detroit Luxury Hotel Reviews and Detroit Restaurant Reviews

Detroit, Michigan is not exactly an obvious choice for a tourist destination. Dubbed as the “Motor City,” it is at least worth visiting for its local charm and historical relevance. Undoubtedly, Detroit has shaped American and global culture with its Motown sound, modern rock and techno acts, and automotive assembly line. Recently, however, with the economic recession and the automotive industry’s gargantuan collapse, Detroit is struggling to reclaim its image of a once booming city.

Still, there are a number of noteworthy places to visit in Detroit when you’re seeking for modern luxuries. Swanky restaurants, chic and trendy clubs, and high-rise luxury condos occupy Detroit’s downtown landscape. Visiting old favorites such as the Detroit Institute of Arts, Motown Historical Museum, and Henry Ford and Greenfield Village will give you a lukewarm feel of the city’s essence.

While Detroit may feel like an abandoned city it has hidden treasures in the city and in its surrounding suburbs. Or if nothing else the Westin Detroit Hotel located at Detroit Metro Aiport is the perfect place to stay if you arrive late at night, have an early flight or are just in town for some quick business.
