Café Rustica - Carmel Valley, California: California’s known to have the best weather in the Continental States all year round, but aside from the sunny days you’ll be enjoying even throughout the colder months, you’re sure to get some great bites to eat here.

When I passed by Carmel Valley on my last trip to California I had a chance to dine over at Café Rustica, which is this quaint, country restaurant ensconced by California’s gorgeous landscape. I’d recommend being seated outside to take in all the sun, but dining inside is also a remarkable experience in itself. The place is also very busy, so be sure to get a reservation before you head over.

The food was delicious, although not extraordinary, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere inside it was so-so, but then again I’m not really a huge fan of early American/country interiors. I did have an enjoyable experience though.

I’m giving the Café Rustica a rating of Somewhere Between Bombastic and Not. If you’re in the area I suggest you check it out, but if you live quite far from it don't go driving out of your way just to eat there.
