Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café – Los Olivos, California

Perfect Lunch Spot When Wine Tasting in Santa Barbara's Wine Country

Restaurant Category : American (Traditional), Mediterranean

Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café – Los Olivos, California: Among the many tasting rooms in Santa Barbara’s wine county, the Los Olivos Café is worth stopping by. It is one of the most visited cafés in the area owing a lot to the fact that it was featured in the independent Hollywood film, Sideways—a movie about life, love, passion, and good wine. Whether you’re a connoisseur or simply a curious tourist, you won’t be disappointed with the good food and even better wine that this restaurant has to offer.

The patio, shaded with wisteria, is the perfect place to sip a wonderful California bottle of Pinot Noir together with a lovely and juicy plate of lamb shanks with couscous. They have generous portions so you can order a plate of cheese and salad to share. Inside the restaurant is a cozy place for an intimate yet casual dinner. It has a large concrete fireplace and an open bar linking the café to the Wine Merchant. There you will see one of the most extensive wine selections in the Santa Ynez Valley. They have a lot of local vintages, as well as their very own wine label, Bernat.

Los Olivos also has a pleasing staff to complete the package. You can even order lunch for takeout on a picnic and they will pack a lovely picnic basket for you. Reservations are highly recommended if you wish to try out this café. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Los Olivos and would go back when I’m in the mood for some refreshing Pinot. I rate the Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café, Bombastic!
