Sienese locals are also infamously known for being proud of their roots and city, and during Il Palio, a colorful array of neighborhood rivalry, pageantry, trash-talking, bragging, and the occasion violence can be witnessed. An interesting and charming city, Siena is a place worth visiting. In terms of cuisine and luxury hotel accommodations, however, it is not the best.
