Enoteca Pinchiorri - Florence, Italy - Bring your wallet, your purse, your credit card and some extra cash. Enoteca Pinchiorri is over-priced and over-rated. Listed as one of the best restaurants in Italy, the service and atmosphere were far from the best that I've experience in Italy or even in Florence for that matter.

Yes, the food and its presentation was beyond beautiful but everything else was average at best.

The decor was dull with worn light pink linens showing wear that comes from years of use and a small bouquet of flowers that reminded me of something you'd find at the dollar store. The two paintings on the dining room walls were dull and uninspiring, which meant they fit in just fine with the rest of the decor.

The service felt forced and at most times obtrusive. Continuous interruptions do nothing to create a beautiful atmosphere.

We had high expectations for this restaurant, but sadly, we were let down.

Reservations are required. If you do plan on going, book ahead, seating is limited.
